Mentorship for choir directors who are done figuring it out alone.
Work directly with Adam Paltrowitz on a proven, personalized plan to fix the four things that hold every choral program back — behavior, buy-in, burnout, and work/life balance.
The strategy call is free, judgment-free, and not a sales call.
The four Bs holding your program back
Every struggling choir program traces back to at least one of these. Mentorship gives you a real plan for all four.
Behavior
Effective guidelines, consistent routines, and a rehearsal culture where students manage themselves — so you can actually make music.
Buy-In
Students don't buy into a class — they buy into a vision and a community. Build one they're proud to bring their friends into.
Burnout
Student leadership systems and a grading approach that motivates singers while shrinking your workload — not growing it.
Balance
A thriving program shouldn't cost you your evenings, weekends, or family. Sustainability is built into everything we do.
Seven phases. One scale. Do to Ti.
The Choral Clarity Philosophy unfolds in seven phases — each one a step up the scale. Not cookie-cutter: the curriculum adapts to your program and is personalized through coaching calls.
DoMindset & Mission
Develop the proper mindset and set a clear mission statement — for where your program is now, and where you want it to go.
ReThe Foundation
Know what you want — then build it: effective guidelines, consistent routines, behavior management, and rehearsals that are structured and planned with intention.
MiMusical Fundamentals
Tackle foundational musical issues: beginning vocal technique (including the changing male voice), matching pitch, supporting struggling singers, building confidence, and choosing appropriate repertoire.
FaLiteracy & Artistry
Develop music literacy and advanced vocal technique — guiding every ensemble member toward individual musical growth and collective success.
SolGrading for Growth
Create a grading system that motivates students to grow — homework, in-class work, and quizzes, delivered traditionally or through effective student self-assessment.
LaStudent Leadership
Cultivate student role models, train officers and leaders, and get students to take real ownership of their ensemble — plus a plan for retention and recruiting. The more effectively your students lead, the less work you carry.
TiExceeding Expectations
Empower students to become self-motivated, create choir traditions, and build an alumni base — until the choir essentially runs itself.
Apply each concept directly in your classroom, then bring your questions to our meetings for tailored guidance.

Adam Paltrowitz
Master educator, composer, conductor, and clinician with nearly 30 years of teaching experience. As Director of Choral Activities at Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK High School in New York, Adam's groups toured throughout Europe, Canada, and the United States — and his program became known for cultivating eight student-run a cappella ensembles, some of which performed on national and local television.
He leads a self-selected choral program where students aren't separated by talent or skill level — built on the philosophy that every student is a soloist. He holds a B.S. from NYU and both an M.A. and Ed.M. from Columbia University's Teachers College, and has helped directors nationwide build thriving programs without sacrificing their personal lives.
