Description
Here are the 4 tangible steps to develop your student’s ear.
Purchase this product one time and use it over and over again – you are permitted to duplicate!
These 4 steps are NOT all or nothing skills; each one must be assessed and then developed. Fortunately, each activity can be fast, focused, and fun!
How it works:
Here are the 4 steps:
- Matching Pitch – this begins with a student who appears to be tone-deaf and gives the student and teacher tangible steps to match pitch throughout their expanded vocal range.
- Singing a scale in tune – this begins with a student who cannot singe the range of an octave, and moves through students who sing so sharp or flat that they do not reach “do”, and ends with a perfectly sung, in-tune scale.
- Alternating solfege patterns – this is the simplest of all the steps and yet you would be surprised at how many singers struggle with this. The ability for a singer to alternate between skipping and step-wise motion determines if they can recognize the difference between skips and step-wise motion in their head. The simple exercise has 5 steps of tangible development
- Aural Training Solfege Exercise – this exercise is the MOST EFFECTIVE tool for developing a singer’s inner ear. It can be a fun exercise and it is something that you can use with your students week after week, year after year.
